After a long brave battle, Steve Kerrigan lost his battle with multiple myeloma March 14th, 2011. He was the greatest friend and colleague and brought joy to all of you every morning who listened. But above that, he was a wonderful father, husband, son and brother. Steve was posthumously inducted into the Dayton Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2012. We love you Steve and will miss you terribly. As long as we remember someone, they live forever. Listen to his last on air appearance with us at the Cares For Kids Radiothon from November 23rd, 2010 right here.
Even though Steve Kerrigan is no longer with us, he would want us to continue the fight against cancer. Here are just a few ways you can help causes that were near and dear to Steve's heart.
- The Kerrigan Family has stated that donations can be made to the James Cancer Center Hospital at The Ohio State University. Visit the hospital website to donate in honor of Steve Kerrigan.
- You may make a blood donation to the Community Blood Center in honor of Steve.
- Support the Leukemia Lymphoma Society!
- Support Dayton Children's by making a donation in Steve's name. Visit childrensdayton.org/donate to donate.
