Garth Brooks officially announced that November 20 will be the release date of his new album, FUN, during his Facebook Live last night (Monday, October 19). The project has been in the works for nearly two years, and Garth was waiting for the right time to share the project, hoping to avoid releasing it in the middle of a pandemic.
“Truthfully, I just think I ran out of time. This should have been released last Christmas because we’d been working on it forever,” Brooks said in an interview with People. “So I think it’s just time, you know?”
The album features 14 new songs, including the hit collaboration with Blake Shelton, “Dive Bar.”
FUN is Garth’s first album since releasing Gunslinger in 2016.
