Although Jason Aldean has been a powerhouse country music superstar for almost two decades, here are 10 things you probably didn’t know about him.
1. Jason Aldean isn’t his birth name. His real name is Jason Aldine Williams.
2. His guilty pleasure is popcorn. “I’ll eat like a bowl of popcorn every night,” Aldean confesses.
3. He could have been a baseball star. He earned multiple baseball scholarships out of high school but turned them down the chance at the big leagues for the big stage.
4. Nine is his lucky number. You guessed it - his high school baseball number. Aldean says he chose it because that was Atlanta Braves infielder Dale Murphy’s number when he was young.
5. Jake Owen was offered “Big Green Tractor” first. But he turned it down, allowing Aldean take it. That song spent multiple weeks at #1 and is arguably one of his biggest hits.
6. His first performance was at a VFW. Aldean was just 14-years-old when he sang at the local VFW.
7. He was once a delivery boy. Before becoming a mega superstar, he was delivering mega quantities of Pepsi as a delivery boy in Macon, GA.
8. He owns a hunting company with Luke Bryan. Their company is called Buck Commander and they sell hunting gear.
9. They also have matching tattoos. Yep, the Buck Commander logo is tattooed on both Luke Bryan & Jason Aldean. Such a bro move!
10. His go-to karaoke song is a Neil Diamond classic. You know the one - Sweet Caroline. He’s also been known to request Otis Redding, The Eagles & Dobie Gray on karaoke night.
