OSU fans---what a disappointment!

Sad my Dayton Flyers lost last night to the Buckeyes...but OSU played better, wish I could say the same thing for their fans. Value City Arena was sold out...over 19,000 strong and there was a good representation of the Flyer Faithful, moi included. I know we were playing in the Bucks house, but I was really shocked by the blatant disrespect and downright meanness directed toward our pep band, the players, Coach Gregory and to us. I finally had to say something when these rowdy dudes in their 30's and 40's were dropping f-bombs at our team when little kids were sitting right in front of them. They did cut back...and alcohol was not even an excuse. Now, believe me, I'm all about being a fan and have been known to talk some trash at times, but not to the point of being so hurtful as to call someone's mother a name! Come on! These players are still kids themselves! I'm bummed UD lost, but not to the point of calling people names. Even my friend Paul Keels, the Voice of the Buckeyes, said OSU fans were a "little out of hand." I wish them luck in New York next week. I am a big OSU football fan...and support the basketball team too...but in no way am I a fan of their fans. I guess that's why the call Value City, the "nuthouse." In the meantime, I applaud Brian Roberts, Jimmy Binnie and Andres Sandoval as they end their careers as UD Flyers, with dignity, professionalism and respect. They are young men we can all be proud of!
