Sad news this weekend as we lost two beloved voices...on radio and TV....Paul Harvey passed away in Arizona at the age of 90...and "Uncle Al" Lewis, the host of a long time children's TV show (30 plus years!) died at 84. I remember listening to Paul Harvey on my way to school in sixth grade. My sister and I went to school with our neighbor's son Brian and she would drive all of us...I remember thinking how boring Paul Harvey was, but as time passed, I learned a lot from him.

I was never on the Uncle Al show, but I was on the Bozo show when I was in first grade...I got to sit next to him and hold all his important papers...he was larger than life..especially to a six year old.

Brought back lots of great memories for Kerrigan and I..Clubhouse 22, Lucy's Toy Shop, Uncle Orrie (on channel 7!), Flippo, and someone reminded us of Paul Dixon..you remember, "Paul Baby" with the knee ticklers? My mom loved him...remember the chicken wedding? Here it is!

Enjoy--bock bock!

R.I.P. Uncle Al, we'll miss you!
