Some twelve city workers in Piqua are the proud owners of that ginormous Mega Million Lottery ticket worth 207 million dollars! That works out to roughly 17 million each! Yikes! I guess they bought the ticket at the Kroger there. Can you even imagine what YOU would do? I think I would still work. Part time of course, and not ask for a salary...my bosses would dig that. Or ask that the money be given to Dayton Children's...that would be cool, huh? It's kind of fun to imagine being rich for just a little bit, isn't it? First thing I would do is pay off all my bills, then my parents' stuff and my sister's. Set up college funds for the nephews, then take a vacation someplace warm!

What others are saying

  • Piqua Hoopla
I am a parent of one of the winners and the hoopla is just contagious and outragious at the same time. People who my son has not heard from in years, never given him the time of day ever, now are calling and wanting his business. It is surreal on the happenings, but as a parent am worried too for my granddaughters and stupid people around.
  • I know one of the winners, and they have already had to disconnect their phone lines, due to people calling that they hadn't heard from in YEARS! I couldn't imagine!

So happy for them, though...it's awesome that it happened in a small town like this! You never think it could happen to you...
