First off, so glad to be back with all of you! Second, I watched a lot of the Olympics the past few weeks as I'm sure you all did. Wasn't it amazing that US athletes won 110 medals? 36 of them gold? Granted, most of them went to Michael Phelps, but still I was so proud to see them on the platform. However, I was disappointed to see not that many of them sing the National Anthem when it played. That really surprised me. Do they not know the words? Come on! That should be a requirement to make the Olympic team! Granted, they may have been nervous to win...but isn't being a top athlete all about discipline and poise? You don't have to be a great singer, I'm totally fine with lip synching even...but at the least, put your hand over your heart and pay attention. Kudos to Lisa Leslie of the women's basketball team for singing her heart out, she was the perfect example of excitement, patriotism and a great representative for our country..... A survey says there's about a third of us who don't know the words....here's an organization to help you with that! It's called the National Anthem Project. Thanks to Rowdy J for telling me about it!

Good luck!
