Gas woes is me!

I read something this morning about how some folks are tempting fate by playing russian roulette with their gas tanks. Meaning, they're letting it get almost bone dry in an attempt to save money on gas and ending up stranded! Not sure why you would do something like that, since you have to put gas in it anyway to get it to go...and if you're waiting for the gas prices to drop...your car will probably have bigger problems than an empty tank! Ever run out of gas? Of course, I have...back in the day, my Dad had fixed up a '71 Dodge Dart for me to drive to work while I was off summers from UD. Well, the gas gauge was so reliable, but me, being 20 and stupid, didn't listen when he said to put gas in at least once a week, so one day on my way to work at BancOhio in Springfield, it happened. I ran out of gas, on I-70 westbound in between Routes 41 and 72. So, here I am, hoofing on the highway, in a skirt and high heels, when a semi truck pulls over. Of course, you can't see who's up there, but he sounded nice enough as I climbed up. He even took me all the way to work in the big rig! And you know I caught it from Dad when I got home...actually I think he had to come get me :) If you ever wondered if I'm a real blonde, now you know!!!
