Talking today about great teacher stories...I was trying to come up with all of my memorable teachers...I think I got most of them...except I can't remember by 3rd grade teacher's name...she was really pretty tho.   Here goes...1st--Mrs. Rohrer, 2nd--Mrs. Amlin, 3rd--pretty lady, 4th--Mrs. Riley, 5th--Mrs. Dempsey, 6th--Mrs. Berkofer, 7th--Mrs. Severt, 8th--Mr. McGinnis, 9th--Mrs. McGrath, 10th--Mrs, Edmondson, 11th--Mrs. Artis, 12th--Mrs. Ritter.   this is really kind of cool of me or weird...dunno.  Anyhoo, Mrs. Ritter was such a huge influence on my career in broadcasting, teaching me proper English and always challenging me to do better.   I was terrified of her my freshman year, and years later, I still call her Mrs. Ritter....she's still at Southeastern High School in South Charleston.  I also love Mrs. McGrath...back then it was Home Ec..and Future Homemakers of America...she influenced me in public speaking.   Plus, she took us to the Horseshoe to watch Art Schlichter!

Salute to nurses too...my sister Diana is an awesome one...and to beverages...well, you know why, don't you?   thanks for all you do!!!!

My 6th grade teacher had a big influence on me when it comes to being proud to be an american. Every morning we would stand and say the pledge of allegience and the pledge to the Christian flag, say the Lord's prayer and then we would sing patriotic songs. I loved singing and she made us keep a notebook with all the songs she taught us. She has passed away and I wish I could have told her how much she meant to me. I wish we had more teachers like her today. I remember her name but I can't remember how to spell it. I know they can't do those things today but I truly believe that is what our kids need. I pray for all of our children and teachers that God will protect them and keep them safe every day. Take Care and may God Bless eacha nd everyone of you.
