Dierks Bentley Turns Down "Dancing"

Sara Evans, Billy Ray Cyrus, Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks have all waltzed across the stage on Dancing With the Stars but one country star who turned down the opportunity is Dierks Bentley.

"There's a reason why I play guitar," Dierks tells GAC. "I have no dance moves. I was asked to be on the first season of 'Dancing With the Stars,' and whether I wanted to or not, it was like, 'Ah, sorry. There's just no hope for me. I don't care if you get the best trainer in the world.' There's a reason why I picked up the guitar to meet girls: Dancing was never gonna work. I do a really bad version of the running man, but after that, it's pretty bad!"

Thankfully, Dierks doesn't need to rely on fancy footwork to make a living. With two platinum-selling albums and six No. 1 singles under his belt, he seems to be doing just fine without reality television. Dierks is gassing up his tour bus to go on the road with Brad Paisley and Jimmy Wayne on Brad's American Saturday Night Tour, which kicks off this Friday in Charlotte, N.C. He'll be at Country Concert 2009 Saturday night, July 11th, performing at 8pm.
